October 10, 2008 Yankees minor leaguer and former first-round pick Andrew Brackman is throwing in the Hawaii Winter League and has been impressive thus far, according to Jason Grey of ESPN.com.
Our View:Brackman is throwing 95 mph gas with a changeup about 10 mph slower than that. He is 6-foot-10 and coming off Tommy John surgery, but clearly has a bright future.
August 15, 2008 Andrew Brackman is ready to start throwing batting practice, according to the AP. The Yankees' 2007 first-round draft pick, is coming back from Tommy John surgery. He also had an appendectomy on June 10.
Our View:The 6-foot-10 righty has lots of ability, but he's far away from making any sort of impact.
