Our View:Mickolio was part of the deal that shipped Erik Bedard to Seattle, and he fared well as a reliever with Norfolk. He could hold his own in the Orioles' bullpen, but would only be fantasy worthy in leagues that feature middle men.
August 20, 2008 Kameron Mickolio has been recalled from Triple-A Norfolk, according to the AP. George Sherrill has been placed on the 15-day DL as the adjoining move.
Our View:Mickolio was part of the trade that shipped Erik Bedard to Seattle. He registered a 1.50 ERA and nailed down two saves over 15 games with Norfolk. He should work in middle relief with Jim Johnson expected to take over as the Orioles' closer with Sherrill out.
February 8, 2008 The Orioles picked up Kameron Mickolio from the Mariners in the Bedard trade Friday. Mickolio had a nice 2007 campaign, posting a combined 2.68 ERA and 55/22 K/BB rate over 53 2/3 innings between Double- and Triple-A. He has some command issues to iron out, but assuming he can do so, he could be in the O's pen at some point in '08.
