Our View:With Orlando Cabrera likely moving on, Alexi Ramirez will probably move to shortstop. Getz hit .286 in seven at-bats with Chicago this year, but hit .302 with 11 home runs and 52 RBI, along with 11 stolen bases, in Triple-A.

Our View:Normal recovery time is four-to-six weeks. He held no fantasy value.
August 10, 2008 Chris Getz has been recalled from Triple-A Charlotte, according to the Chicago Tribune. Pitcher Boone Logan has been optioned to Charlotte as the corresponding move.
Our View:Getz is good defensively and could work as an infielder and outfielder, but won't like get enough at-bats for him to merit fantasy consideration.
May 12, 2008 Chris Getz hit his third home run of the season for Triple-A Charlotte on Sunday.
Our View:Getz is hitting .277-3-8 this season, which is consistent with his stats from last season at Double-A. The White Sox have had trouble finding a second baseman this season. Danny Richar will likely get a chance when he comes off the DL, but Getz could see some playing time in the majors this season before all is said and done. He definitely will have AL-only value if he sees playing time.
