Clayton Mortensen threw six scoreless innings on Thursday to earn his first win at Double-A. He allowed three hits, no walks and struck out five.
Our View:Just as impressive was his 12/1 GO/FO ratio. Mortensen was a first-round pick in 2007 out of Gonzaga, so the fact that he is already in Double-A is impressive enough. Nearly a strikeout per inning and GO/FO ratio above 4.00 shows that he belongs. His stock as a prospect is rising quickly.
