Eider Torres has been designated for assignment by the Orioles, according to the Baltimore Sun. The Orioles also recalled infielder Brandon Fahey from Norfolk and selected the contracts of catcher Omir Santos and pitcher Alfredo Simon from the Triple-A roster.
