Newsbreakers
July 18, 2008
Chan Ho Park will head to the bullpen and be the closer on days when Jonathan Broxton needs a day off, according to Dodgers.com. "Chan Ho may take a more prominent role," Dodgers manager Joe Torre said.

Our View:This is somewhat surprising news, but Park has certainly pitched well enough this season to get the opportunity. Fantasy owners in NL-only leagues that desperately need saves may want to consider picking him up.
July 11, 2008
Chan Ho Park turned around four solid starts on Thursday night as he allowed nine hits and a walk in four innings against the Marlins. Park permitted four runs to score, three of which were earned.

Our View:What did you expect? Still, through 65 innings this season Park does own a 2.63 ERA, so he has proven to have some use to those brave enough to roster him in NL only leagues.
July 5, 2008
Chan Ho Park allowed just one run over six innings in a solid outing against the Giants. Park walked three and struck out seven while allowing just three hits.

Our View:Park touched 96 mph repeatedly on this night, and he looked tremendous in the no-decision. With the news that Bray Penny is likely to miss at least another two weeks, Park could remain in the starting rotation for a few more turns through the rotation.
June 29, 2008
Chan Ho Park had two solid starts in a row, but skipper Joe Torre has decided to move him back to the bullpen, according to the LA Daily News. He only allowed one earned run over those two starts (11 innings).

Our View:He is no longer worth starting in traditional NL-only leagues.
June 28, 2008
Chan Ho Park threw six scoreless innings, with only four hits given up, in Friday's 6-0 win over the Angels, with no walks and seven strikeouts.

Our View:Park has only allowed one earned run over his last two outings (11 innings) as a spot starter in the Dodgers' rotation.
