September 30, 2008 Rockets center Yao Ming says his foot is now completely healthy, according to the Houston Chronicle.
Our View:Ming fractured it last February and it hampered him in the Olympics a bit, but he now says that he's ready to go. Fantasy owners should keep this injury in the back of their minds during drafts, but at the thin center position, he should still be a hot commodity.
August 25, 2008 Yao Ming said he was limping throughout the Olympics due to blisters, not due to the foot injury (stress fracture) that ended his season with the Rockets, according to the Houston Chronicle. He said, "Did I get everyone in Houston worried with the limp? The bone in the foot is fine. I just had some blisters."
Our View:He left the Olympics without a medal, but looks to be fine for training camp with Houston.
August 20, 2008 Yao Ming's Team China has been eliminated from the Olympics Wednesday with a 94-68 loss to Lithuania, according to the Houston Chronicle. Yao shot 4-for-8 from the field, and scored 19 points with seven rebounds. Yao said, "I think we have taken a journey on Olympic history. I am glad at the situation, but am regrettable about the results."
Our View:He played 33 1/2 minutes in the loss, which was his longest outing in Beijing.
