Former Most Improved Player Bobby Simmons has started all of the Nets' preseason games at small forward.

Our View:Last season, he averaged 21.7 minutes in 70 games and missed the season prir to that after undergoing surgery. He is a quality source of three-pointers and steals and his other numbers will not hurt you. He is one of three Nets who have averaged at least 10 points per game over their careers and could be depended on to play a major role in their offense this season.

The Newark Star-Ledger reports that Bobby Simmons will likely be the starter at small forward this season. He is battling Jarvis Hayes and Trenton Hassell for the job.

Our View:Simmons was the league's Most Improved Player in 2005 and he would like to earn the title a second time. He is a quality source of three-pointers and steals and his other numbers will not hurt you. He is one of three Nets who have averaged at least 10 points per game over their careers.

Bobby Simmons of the New Jersey Nets says he is a more complete player than Richard Jefferson, the one he and Yi Jianlian were traded from the Bucks for, according to the New York Post. "Me and Richard are two totally different players. The way Bobby Simmons plays basketball, it's more complete as far as a guy who can do a lot of things," Simmons said.

Our View:Despite Simmons' claims, the numbers don't lie, and the numbers say Simmons is wrong. Jefferson had a higher field goal percentage, three-point percentage, free throw percentage, and averaged more minutes, points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks per game than Simmons did last season. Decide for yourself whose fantasy value is higher.
