November 29, 2008 New York Knicks forward Jared Jeffries could be back with the team in about a week, as he practiced in non-contact drills with the team on Friday, according to the New York Post.
Our View:Jeffries is recovering from a broken fibula. He did not have much of an impact last season, playing under 20 minutes per game and averaging under four points per game. It will be interesting to see how Mike D'Antoni uses him.

Our View:Jeffries seems like the type of player that could turn his career around under Mike D'Antoni. D'Antoni had previously talked about using Jeffries at center. No player in the Knicks rotation is a true NBA center.

Our View:Jeffries contributed very little during his first two campaigns in New York, but was expected to have a larger role under new coach Mike D’Antoni because of his ability to play all three positions in the frontcourt.
