Carlos Boozer made his preseason debut on Sunday against Portland after missing the first two Jazz exhibitions due to a sore hamstring. He played just 15 minutes, scored 12 points and collected eight rebounds in the 93-80 victory.

Our View:Boozer is probably in the second tier of the many elite power forwards when it comes to fantasy basketball. He is a good bet for 20 points and 10 rebounds but comes up empty in the blocks category while being an average free throw shooter.

Carlos Boozer will be held out of his second consecutive preseason game on Thursday, according to the Desert News. He is dealing with a sore hamstring - the same one that he tore three years ago. He says missing the game is merely a precaution and that he will be ready for the regular season.

Our View:He won't be hurt much should he miss a good chunk of the preseason. He is very familiar with Utah's staff and personnel. If Boozer were to miss any time during the regular season, Paul Millsap would be worth acquiring.

The AP reports that Carlos Boozer missed Tuesday night's preseason opener against the Los Angeles Lakers because of a sore hamstring. The All-Star said the injury was not serious. However, it is the same hamstring Boozer tore three years ago, limiting him to 33 games in the 2005-06 season. “Just a little sore,” Boozer told the Deseret News. “So, I’d rather be safe than sorry.”

Our View:If Boozer were to miss any time during the regular season, Paul Millsap would be worth acquiring. At this point, consider Boozer ready for another 80 games this year.
