Our View:This injury, while sounding minor, will actually keep Hayes out of action anywhere from 4-to-6 weeks before he is allowed back on the court.
August 1, 2007 Free agent Chuck Hayes will be staying in Houston. The AP reported that Hayes reached an agreement on a four-year deal, although the amount of the contract was not disclosed. Agent Calvin Andrews said he expects Hayes to sign the contract later this week.
Our View:With the loss of Juwan Howard in an offseason trade, Hayes’ return was important to the front line. That said, Hayes will continue to be more of a role player despite starting 43 games last year and won’t be a fantasy contributor.
