October 19, 2008 Gabe Pruitt filled in as the starting point guard in Boston's 83-66 win over New Jersey on Sunday. The second-year player out of USC scored 11 points, grabbed 12 rebounds, had seven assists and made six turnovers in 43 minutes.
Our View:Pruitt played in just 15 games last season as he was buried on the champions depth chart. Chances are he won't see much action in the upcoming season either, unless Sam Cassell relinquishes backup point guard duties.
September 4, 2007 Second-round pick Gabe Pruitt agreed to a three-year deal last week, the Boston Herald reported. The rookie will back up both guard positions this season.
Our View:Don’t expect anything fantasy-wise from Pruitt for at least a couple years.
