November 3, 2008 Cheick Samb has been dealt from the Pistons to the Nuggets as part of the trade involving Allen Iverson, according to the Associated Press. Denver also acquired Chauncey Billups and Antonio McDyess.
Our View:The 24-year-old center is considered to be a project, and won't make a favorable impact in Denver this season.
July 17, 2007 The Pistons signed Cheick Samb to a two-year contract Tuesday. Samb was acquired from the Lakers for Maurice Evans on draft day 2006. He spent last season playing for Barcelona's B team in Spain, according to the Detroit News. He is expected to spend most of next season playing for the Pistons' NBDL affiliate in Fort Wayne, Ind.
