July 5, 2008 Celtics GM Danny Ainge believes forward P.J. Brown is headed to retirement. "I just don't think he'll play again," Ainge tells the Boston Globe. "That's my gut. He's 39 years old. He's got a nice family and he finished it off in a nice way."
Our View:Brown was basically retired this past season before the Celtics picked him up for the stretch run. He hasn't had any fantasy value for a few campaigns, and we wish him well if he does indeed opt to hang 'em up.
March 5, 2008 Updating a previous story, the Celtics have activated recently-acquired forward P.J. Brown for tonight's game versus Detroit, according to the Associated Press. Brown has not played at all this season and is sure to experience some pain in getting back in playing shape, but he is a quality backup forward that could help the team come playoff time.
