April 21, 2008 Scot Pollard will undergo right ankle surgery on Friday, the Boston Globe confirms. The big man underwent an operation on March 11 to repair a torn tendon in his left ankle. "The recovery on my left one is so long, it's going to be middle of June before I'm allowed to run," Pollard says. "We did an MRI on the [right] ankle. It has some of the same issues, not as bad. The doctor said I'd need surgery eventually."
Our View:Pollard added that the recovery process would give him plenty of time to work on his facial hair and count his millions. The former Kansas star has barely played the last two seasons, and he may need to catch on with a new team in 2008-09.
