Michael Redd was out of the lineup once again on Saturday as he is dealing with a sprained ankle.

August 18, 2008
The Boston Globe indicates that Michael Redd is surprised he is still a Buck with Richard Jefferson, Luke Ridnour, Tyronn Lue, Malik Allen, Francisco Elson, Adrian Griffin, Damon Jones, and rookie Joe Alexander all new members of the team. He said, "Out of everybody, I'm still here. We have a whole new roster, a whole new group of guys. I was shocked that I remained. I thought with the rebuilding of the team and the changing of coaches and the organization moving in different ways, I thought I might be gone, too. Hey, I'm here."

Our View:Richard Jefferson previously mentioned that he is looking forward to playing with Michael Redd, who is currently chasing a gold medal with the U.S. Olympic basketball team.
July 8, 2008
Richard Jefferson was initially not pleased to be traded from the Nets to the Bucks, but he is now seemingly embracing his new club as he praised team-mate Michael Redd, according to the Boston Herald. Jefferson stated, "I think Redd is a great shooter that has the ability to get to the cup. He’s much more outside, he’s one of the best shooters I’ve ever seen. There will be a lot of eyes on us to see how well we gel. Me and Vince Carter were very similar, but me and Mike might complement each other even more."

Our View:The team wants to make Jefferson happy, so it seems less likely Redd will be traded. They will certainly form a dangerous 1-2 punch for the Bucks if Redd stays put.
June 20, 2008
Michael Redd has made the US olympic basketball team, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.

Redd was told to not pay attention to the trade rumors circulating, but Redd commented that he wants to win a title and not just settle for making the playoffs.

Our View:Redd averaged 22.7 points per contest in 2007-08, and he would hold favorable trade value if the Bucks still decide to go that route. He is owed $50 million over the next three years.
June 2, 2008

Our View:The Bucks are believed to be interested in trading Michael Redd, as he is owed $50 million over the next three years. April 21, 2008
The Bucks have signed Scott Skiles to be their new head coach, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel confirms. Skiles previously piloted the Suns and Bulls and managed a 281-251 regular season record

Our View:Skiles brings a tough-nosed approach to a team in need of some, uh, gumption. The Bucks have a few nice pieces, including Michael Redd and Andrew Bogut, and Skiles' first priority will likely be to improve the club's poor defense.
April 21, 2008
The Bucks are reportedly close to naming Scott Skiles as their new head coach, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. Skiles was the Bucks first-round pick in 1986, but he lasted only one season with the team. He eventually went on to star with the Magic. He has posted a 281-251 record as a head coach with the Suns and Bulls.

Our View:Skiles has rubbed some people the wrong way during his head coaching days, but it's often because he wants guys to play hard and (shockingly) play defense. And he is usually open and honest, almost to a fault. The Bucks need some tough love after going 26-56 and allowing a league-worst 48.0 shooting percentage in 2007-08.
April 17, 2008
The Milwaukee Bucks fired head coach Larry Krystkowiak on Thursday after a 31-69 record in less than two years with the club, this according to NBA.com. “Larry Krystkowiak is a good man who worked very hard for the Milwaukee Bucks,” said GM John Hammond. “Sometimes despite even the best efforts, the results don’t end up how we want them."

Our View:The Bucks are a sad franchise in most respects, but even for them 31 victories in 100 games isn't going to cut it. No word yet on who might replace him.
April 11, 2008
Michael Redd continues to enjoy strong individual performances despite another disappointing season for the Milwaukee Bucks. Redd shot 7-of-18 from the field, 2-of-5 from the three-point arc, and 2-of-2 from the free-throw line to score 18 points, also adding four rebounds. Redd tends to go higher, so this ranks as a disappointment, but Redd knows how to get his shots and will come with his top game more often than not.

Michael Redd took just one shot in the first half on his way to just 11 points on 3-of-11 shooting on the night.
