December 22, 2008 Desmond Mason started for the second consecutive game in Sunday's home loss to the Thunder. He finished with 2 points, grabbed three rebounds and handed out two assists in 32 minutes of action.
Our View:In his first start, the Thunder beat the Raptors. Even as a starter, though, Mason holds minimum fantasy value. He should only be considered in deeper leagues, though his minutes and production are worth watching.
November 28, 2008 The Oklahoman reports that Desmond Mason has been cleared to return to the lineup tonight against the Minnesota Timberwolves after missing the past six games with a sprained right elbow.
Our View:Mason's minutes will likely be limited as his conditioning has regressed some. It remains to be seen what role he will play under the Thunder's new coach.
November 17, 2008 The AP reports that Oklahoma City Thunder swingman Desmond Mason will not play in Monday’s game against the Houston Rockets thanks to an elbow injury. Mason injured the elbow in the fourth quarter of Saturday’s loss to the Philadelphia 76ers.
Our View:Mason has averaged 8.4 points and 3.9 rebounds in 10 games this season for the Thunder. He has not been a fantasy worthy player.
