Paul Pierce, G Saturday 10/11, 10:12 PM CT
Forward Paul Pierce managed 15 points, four assists, and three rebounds in under 22 minutes against the Rockets on Saturday night. He hit 5-of-6 shots from the floor and went 5-for-7 at the line.

Our View: Pierce's scoring dropped off last season, but fantasy owners all know he is a very solid all-around contributor. We expect nothing less in 2008-09.
Tony Allen, G Friday 10/10, 9:38 PM CT
Tony Allen scored a game-high 25 points in Friday's 96-94 preseason win over the Cavaliers. He also recorded four rebounds, three assists, three steals, and one block.

Our View: He played 41 minutes in the game, and could be fantasy worthy as the Celtics' projected sixth man this season.
Kendrick Perkins, C Thursday 10/9, 9:31 PM CT
Kendrick Perkins will likely miss the next two preseason games as he is recovering from shoulder surgery, according to the Boston Globe. He hopes to be ready by next Thursday's game.

Our View: Expect Patrick O'Bryant to continue to start in his place. POB played well in his first preseason game, and his continued experience with the first unit bodes well for his success with his new team.
Patrick O'Bryant, C Wednesday 10/8, 9:05 PM CT
Patrick O'Bryant played well in Kendrick Perkins' absence in Wednesday night's preseason opener. He played 25 minutes, scored 10 points, blocked three shots, eight rebounds and a steal.

Our View: O'Bryant has had a very good camp since being acquired this season as a free agent. Kendrick Perkins should still be considered the starter but O'Bryant could see 20 minutes per game if he continues to focus on defense. He is the biggest shot-blocking threat on the Celtics.
Patrick O'Bryant, C Friday 10/3, 8:00 AM CT
Center Patrick O'Bryant is working on his game, getting quality time on the floor during practice while Kendrick Perkins remains out with a shoulder malady, according to the Boston Globe.

Our View: O'Bryant was the ninth overall pick in 2006, but was a bust with Golden State. He averaged a measly 1.5 points per game to go with 1.2 rebounds per game, and has very little fantasy value on the World Champion Celtics.
