Chauncey Billups, G Wednesday 11/19, 10:11 PM CT
Chauncey Billups continues to be a rock for the Nuggets, finishing with 22 points, five rebounds, six assists, a block and a steal on Wednesday night. Denver knocked off the Spurs 91-81.

Our View: Both Detroit and Denver are benefiting from the Billups-Iverson trade right now and this trend is likely to continue.
Carmelo Anthony, F Wednesday 11/19, 10:14 PM CT
Carmelo Anthony came fairly close to a triple-double on Wednesday, finishing with nine rebounds and seven assists in addition to his 21 point. Melo also had one steal.

Our View: The Nuggets are in sync right now in a way they never were while AI was on the roster. The Nuggests have four solid fantasy players right now in Melo, Chauncey Billups, Kenyon Martin, and Nene.
Chucky Atkins, G Tuesday 11/18, 12:04 PM CT
Chucky Atkins is expected to be available for Tuesday's game against the Bucks after missing the season's first 10 games while recovering from right knee surgery, according to the Rocky Mountain News.

Our View: He was able to fully practice Monday, but won't hold much fantasy value as a deep reserve at guard behind Chauncey Billups and Anthony Carter.
Linas Kleiza, G Tuesday 11/18, 10:55 PM CT
Linas Kleiza had a huge game for the Nuggets coming off the bench on Tuesday, scoring 25 points in 29 minutes. He also had three rebounds.

Our View: Kleiza won't have a lot of fantasy value as a bench player, but does spring for nights like these every once in a while.
Nene Hilario, F Tuesday 11/18, 10:57 PM CT
Nene Hilario had a solid night for Denver, scoring 13 and adding six rebounds.

Our View: These were below Nene's averages, but he's still been producing on a high level all year.
Chucky Atkins, G Tuesday 11/18, 11:33 PM CT
Chucky Atkins made his season debut on Tuesday, coming off of the bench for two points and four assists in nine minutes.

Our View: Atkins probably won't be worth much in fantasy, at least for a while.
Chris Andersen, F Monday 11/17, 8:56 AM CT
Nuggets forward Chris Andersen has begun to job as he makes his way back from a broken rib, according to the Denver Post.

Our View: Andersen has little fantasy value, puling in just under five points and five boards per game. He should be out at least another week.
Steven Hunter, C Monday 11/17, 12:03 PM CT
Fears that surgery on Steven Hunter's right knee would end his career have proven false, and the big man will be able to play basketball again, according to the Rocky Mountain News.

Our View: Hunter will rehab, and then get another update on the knee in roughly two months. And though there is a possibility he will play again this season, it doesn't seem very likely.
Chucky Atkins, G Monday 11/17, 12:05 PM CT
Nuggets guard Chucky Atkins will return to practice on Monday with the hopes of playing on Tuesday, reports the Rocky Mountain News.

Our View: Atkins had knee surgery in late September. He is not a fantasy option when he makes his return, as he is the team's third option at point guard behind Chauncey Billups and Anthony Carter.
Kenyon Martin, F Monday 11/17, 12:44 PM CT
Kenyon Martin was charged with a flagrant-two foul on Thursday, but the NBA has downgraded it to a flagrant-one, the Denver Post reports.

Our View: Flagrant fouls rack up "points", and five points equal a suspension, so instead of getting two points for the flagrant-two, he will get just one point.
Chauncey Billups, G Monday 11/17, 4:53 PM CT
The Rocky Mountain News reports that Chauncey Billups was chosen the Western Conference's Player of the Week (Nov. 10-16) for averaging 21.5 points, 5.8 assists, 2.3 rebounds and 1.25 steals in four games last week. Denver went 3-1 in those games.

Our View: Billups' stat lines were not particularly dominant but his effect on a struggling Nuggets' squad has been immense. Expect his production to increase now that he plays for a coach who pushes the pace.
Chauncey Billups, G Sunday 11/16, 9:46 PM CT
Chauncey Billups did not shoot well, going 7-for-23 from the field, but he did make half of his eight three-point shots while scoring 26 points and collecting five assists and five rebounds in the Nuggets' 90-84 win over Minnesota.

Our View: His scoring opportunities continue to go up with Denver, and his PPG average should keep rising for a while before finally leveling off.
Carmelo Anthony, F Sunday 11/16, 9:51 PM CT
The Denver Nuggets defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday with the help of Carmelo Anthony's 14 points and 12 rebounds.

Our View: 'Melo couldn't shoot straight, making an awful 4-of-17 shots from the floor, but he did attain a double-digit rebounds for the second consecutive game.
Kenyon Martin, F Saturday 11/15, 7:17 PM CT
Kenyon Martin was fined $20,000 for his actions after being ejected from Thursday's game, according to the Associated Press.

Our View: It appears that the fine will be the end of the incident and that Martin won't be suspended.
Carmelo Anthony, F Friday 11/14, 10:09 PM CT
Carmelo Anthony delivered the Nuggets to a win over the Celtics with a double-double on Friday. He had 18 points, 13 rebounds, three assists, and one steal.

Our View: Anthony is producing at great levels now that he doesn't have to share shots with Allen Iverson.
Chauncey Billups, G Friday 11/14, 10:12 PM CT
Chauncey Billups scored 18 for Denver on Friday, as the Nuggets continue to benefit from acquiring him. He added seven assists, two rebounds, a block and a steal as well.

Our View: Billups' fantasy value as increased since the trade from Detroit, as his scoring average has gone up by a couple of points since arriving in the Mile-high city.
Kenyon Martin, F Thursday 11/13, 1:44 PM CT
Nuggets forward Kenyon Martin may miss the team's game against Cleveland on Thursday, as he will be a game-time decision, according to the Denver Post.

Our View: Martin has a sprained wrist, and has missed the team's last two games. He has been solid but unspectacular for fantasy owners this year, with averages of 13.6 points, 7.6 boards, 2.2 steals and 1.2 blocks per game. Linas Kleiza would make the start in Martin's absence.
Kenyon Martin, F Thursday 11/13, 9:46 PM CT
Kenyon Martin posted a double-double on Thursday night after being a game-time decision for the Nuggets. Martin had 12 points, 10 rebounds, and two steals in a losing effort at Cleveland.

Our View: Martin will be a good source for points and rebounds if he can stay healthy the rest of the way for Denver.
Chauncey Billups, G Thursday 11/13, 9:51 PM CT
Chauncey Billups led Denver in scoring on Thursday with 26 points. He also contributed six assists, a rebound, and a steal for Denver.

Our View: Billups is averaging 18.25 points in his four games with the Nuggets since coming over from the Pistons in a trade, which is a bit higher than the 12.5 point he averaged to start the season in two games with Detroit.
Antonio McDyess, F Wednesday 11/12, 5:24 PM CT
ESPN.com expects free agent Antonio McDyess to return to the Pistons on December 7. League rules prohibit players from re-joining the team that traded them for 30 days. The power forward is expected to draw significant interest from other teams in the meantime.

Our View: McDyess is not worth holding onto and may not even be worth acquiring once he does return to Detroit. He was coming off the bench to start the season and averaging under 20 minutes per game. Should he reclaim his starting position, he would be worth looking into.
Kenyon Martin, F Tuesday 11/11, 11:05 AM CT
Kenyon Martin is considered questionable for tonight's game against Charlotte due to his wrist injury, according to the Denver Post.

Our View: He is averaging 13.6 points, 7.6 boards, 2.2 steals, and 1.2 blocks per game, and will be missed by the Nuggets, as well as fantasy owners, if unable to go.
Chris Andersen, F Tuesday 11/11, 11:08 AM CT
Chris Andersen will miss Tuesday's game against Charlotte due to his broken rib, according to the Denver Post.

Our View: He is not much of a scorer, but is a solid shot blocker and his size will be missed while contending with the Bobcats.
Carmelo Anthony, F Tuesday 11/11, 8:42 PM CT
Carmelo Anthony scored 25 points on 10-for-19 shooting on Tuesday night in the Nuggets' 88-80 win over the Bobcats.

Our View: With AI gone there is a lot more scoring opportunities for Melo. Since the trade he has a scoring average of 23 points.
Chauncey Billups, G Tuesday 11/11, 8:53 PM CT
Chauncey Billups has had a tough time shooting the ball for the Nuggets since being traded in early November. The struggles continued on Tuesday night, the Denver native was 4-of-12 for 16 points but the Nuggets won 88-80.

Our View: The game against the Bobcats was the first away from Denver but that didn't help Billups. In four games with Denver he is shooting 13-of-50 from the floor.
Antonio McDyess, F Monday 11/10, 10:13 AM CT
If Antonio McDyess clears waivers today he will become an unrestricted free agent, according to the Detroit News. He could return to the Pistons in 30 days if he doesn't receive and accept a favorable offer from another NBA club. Pistons' coach Michael Curry was asked if he was confident McDyess will return to Detroit, and Curry answered, "I wish I was confident. That would make my life easier. But I don't know what's going to happen with the Dyess situation."

Our View: The Pistons' bench has struggled without him, and the team is hoping he doesn't sign with another club before they can legally sign him as early as December 12.
Antonio McDyess, F Monday 11/10, 1:29 PM CT
Antonio McDyess has been waived by the Nuggets, according to the Associated Press.

Our View: He was part of the deal that shipped Allen Iverson to Detroit, but the Nuggets never planned on having McDyess play for the club. He would like to return to Detroit, and they could certainly use him as their bench has struggled since the trade.
Steven Hunter, C Sunday 11/9, 10:05 AM CT
Steven Hunter will have knee surgery in the upcoming week that could end his career, according to the Rocky Mountain News.

Our View: Hunter hasn't had any fantasy value this year, and isn't likely to with the extensive recovery needed from the surgery.
Nene Hilario, F Sunday 11/9, 10:26 PM CT
Nene Hilario hit on eight of 10 shots as he scored 18 points while contributing 12 rebounds in the Nuggets 100-90 victory over the Grizzlies. Linas Kleiza added 12 points and nine boards in the win.

Our View: Nene has started out extremely strong for the Nuggets who will need him to continue to produce on the offensive end of the court with Allen Iverson now playing with the Pistons.
Chauncey Billups, G Sunday 11/9, 10:29 PM CT
Chauncey Billups hit only two of 13 shots, but he he was 10-for-11 from the free throw line on his way to a strong fantasy performance that included 16 points, six rebounds, 10 assists and three steals against Memphis.

Our View: Billups produced just the type of effort that the Nuggets envisioned when they brought him into the fold. He is currently struggling with his shot shooting about 30%, but once he locks in the jumper he will be a great bet to offer consistently excellent production from the point.
Antonio McDyess, F Saturday 11/8, 8:49 AM CT
The Boston Celtics could be interested in acquiring the services of forward Antonio McDyess, according to the Boston Globe.

Our View: Despite the presence of Leon Powe and Glen Davis at power forward, the team is said to want a veteran presence behind Kevin Garnett.
Kenyon Martin, F Saturday 11/8, 5:02 PM CT
The Rocky Mountain News reports that Kenyon Martin sprained his left wrist in the second quarter Friday against Dallas. Martin, who remained in the game, is listed as questionable for the game against Memphis on Sunday.

Our View: Martin was already dealing with a strained hamstring. He is as injury-prone as anyone in the league, but he seems to be on a mission this season. If you have another option for Sunday, you should probably use it.
Antonio McDyess, F Friday 11/7, 7:07 AM CT
The Magic are believed to be interested in Antonio McDyess, according to the Orlando Sentinel.

Our View: If McDyess were to go to Orlando, they would possibly try to unload Brian Cook, who has been in the doghouse this season.
Chauncey Billups, G Thursday 11/6, 4:12 PM CT
Chauncey Billups had his first practice with the Nuggets on Thursday, according to the Rocky Mountain News. Billups will play Friday against Dallas, but may come off the bench instead of starting. Coach George Karl called the matter," a decision for tomorrow."

Our View: Billups should see plenty of minutes, regardless of if he's starting for the Nuggets. If Billups is on your roster, you should have him in your lineup for Friday.
Nene Hilario, F Thursday 11/6, 12:37 AM CT
Nene Hilario had his second big game of the season as the Nuggets fell to the Warriors 101-111 on Wednesday. He finished with 19 points, on 6-of-8 shooting, 15 rebounds and three blacks.

Our View: When Nene is focused, he has shown that he can dominate, just as he did against Chris Kaman and the Clippers last Friday.
Carmelo Anthony, F Thursday 11/6, 12:41 AM CT
On a night that he said he would go for 44 points to honor his country's 44th president, Carmelo Anthony went for 30 points on 13-for-30 shooting. He also had eight rebounds and five assists as the Nuggets fell 101-111 to the Warriors.

Our View: Stephen Jackson played excellent defense on Melo all night long. You can expect a healthy dose of 30-plus point performances from Anthony now that Allen Iverson has left town.
Antonio McDyess, F Thursday 11/6, 9:22 AM CT
Antonio McDyess is garnering interest from 17 NBA clubs, according to the Boston Globe.

Our View: McDyess was traded from Detroit to Denver earlier in the week, but is expected to receive a contract buyout from the Nuggets. He is believed to have interest in rejoining the Pistons after a required 30-day waiting period, but could land elsewhere with the right offer.
Antonio McDyess, F Wednesday 11/5, 8:06 AM CT
The Celtics are believed to be interested in Antonio McDyess, according to the Boston Herald.

Our View: McDyess is expected to be bought out of his contract with Denver, and Boston would like to acquire the veteran power forward. The Celtics tried to land McDyess back in 2004, but he decided to ink with the Pistons instead.
Chucky Atkins, G Wednesday 11/5, 8:32 AM CT
Chucky Atkins is slowly recovering from knee surgery, and is believed to be on the Nuggets' trading block, according to HoopsWorld.com.

Our View: He has averaged double-digits in scoring four times in his career, with a high of 13.6 points with the Lakers back in 2004-05. He could prove to be a pleasant surprise if he bounces back healthy with a fresh start with a new team.
Kenyon Martin, F Wednesday 11/5, 10:56 AM CT
Kenyon Martin, who is dealing with hamstring and wrist ailments, said he intends to play Wednesday against Golden State, according to the Denver Post.

Our View: He should be fine to keep active in fantasy lineups. He is averaging 16.3 points and eight boards over three games.
Carmelo Anthony, F Wednesday 11/5, 3:07 PM CT
Carmelo Anthony stated that he would like to honor Barack Obama by scoring 44 points in tonight's game against the Warriors, according to the Denver Post.

Our View: He wants to score 44, as Obama was elected as the 44th president of the United States last night. Fantasy owners could cash in, but he will likely draw extra attention from the Warriors' defenders after making his comments public.
Antonio McDyess, F Tuesday 11/4, 9:22 AM CT
There is news circulating that the Nuggets will buy out Antonio McDyess' two-year, $14.6 million contract and then waive him, according to the Denver Post.

Our View: If let go by Denver, McDyess could immediately sign with any team except the Pistons, who he was traded from in the Allen Iverson deal.
Chauncey Billups, G Tuesday 11/4, 4:51 PM CT
Newly acquired guard Chauncey Billups isn't expected to make his Nuggets debut on Wednesday night when Denver plays Golden State, according to the AP.

Our View: Billups is a solid fantasy point guard and should continue on his new squad. It might take a couple of games to get used to his new teammates but the productions will still be stellar.
Allen Iverson, G Monday 11/3, 11:15 AM CT
The Detroit News is reporting Allen Iverson will be traded to the Pistons in exchange for Chauncey Billups and Antonio McDyess.

Our View: The deal could be completed at any moment, and we will keep you posted. Richard Hamilton could potentially serve as the sixth-man with Iverson and Rodney Stuckey starting at the two guard spots. Hamilton could see time at small forward as well.
Chauncey Billups, G Monday 11/3, 1:10 PM CT
Chauncey Billups has been traded from the Pistons to the Nuggets as part of the deal involving Allen Iverson, according to the Associated Press.

Our View: It may take him some time to feel comfortable with his new club, but should remain a solid and productive No. 2 fantasy guard.
Antonio McDyess, F Monday 11/3, 1:16 PM CT
Antonio McDyess has been traded from the Pistons to the Nuggets as part of the package involving Allen Iverson, according to the Associated Press. The Nuggets also get Chauncey Billups and Cheick Samb.

Our View: McDyess returns to the Nuggets, who he started his career with back in 1995. McDyess is not much of a scorer, but is a solid defensive player, namely in the rebounding department.
Cheikh Samb, C Monday 11/3, 1:25 PM CT
Cheick Samb has been dealt from the Pistons to the Nuggets as part of the trade involving Allen Iverson, according to the Associated Press. Denver also acquired Chauncey Billups and Antonio McDyess.

Our View: The 24-year-old center is considered to be a project, and won't make a favorable impact in Denver this season.
Juwan Howard, F Monday 11/3, 3:44 PM CT
Juwan Howard has been waived by the Nuggets, according to the Miami Herald.

Our View: The 35-year-old only averaged 7.7 minutes per game, and was waived to make room for Antonio McDyess on the roster.
Allen Iverson, G Sunday 11/2, 7:57 AM CT
The Denver Nuggets apparently offered up Allen Iverson in return for Detroit point guard Chauncey Billups, but the Pistons balked, according to the Boston Globe.

Our View: That would be an interesting deal, but we're not sure AI fits quite like Billups does at the point for Detroit. Iverson has averaged 21.5 points in two games this year.
Kenyon Martin, F Sunday 11/2, 1:40 PM CT
Kenyon Martin strained his left hamstring and had to leave the team's game on Saturday, according to the Denver Post.

Our View: Martin had 18 points before departing, and says he'll be fine. Go ahead and keep him in your fantasy lineup for now.
Steven Hunter, C Saturday 11/1, 9:38 AM CT
Steven Hunter could practice some as soon as Monday after missing the final six preseason and first two regular-season games because of a sore right knee, according to the Rocky Mountain News.

Our View: Hunter has to earn playing time yet so he does not hold any fantasy value.
Carmelo Anthony, F Saturday 11/1, 7:43 PM CT
Carmelo Anthony's two-game suspension has ended, according to the Rocky Mountain News.

Our View: He is eligible to return for tonight's game against the Lakers, and should now be penciled into fantasy lineups.
Allen Iverson, G Saturday 11/1, 11:41 PM CT
Allen Iverson chipped in 13 points, three rebounds, seven assists, one steal, and one block, in Saturday's 104-97 loss to the Lakers.

Our View: He has been dealing with ankle and knee ailments, but was able to play 37 minutes tonight, and is averaging 15.5 points over the first two games. His numbers will continue to go back up as he gets healthier.
Nene Hilario, F Saturday 11/1, 1:00 AM CT
Nene Hilario made a statement against Chris Kaman as the Nuggets defeated the Clippers 113-103 in overtime on Friday. He finished with 22 points, 11 rebounds and three blocks. He shot 10-for-15 from the floor in 35 minutes of action.

Our View: Nene had just 11 and four last game so we aren't sure what to expect from him going forward, but it is probably somewhere in between. He should outperform whichever spot he was drafted at as long as he remains healthy.
J.R. Smith, G Saturday 11/1, 1:06 AM CT
J.R. Smith played another 35 minutes as the Nuggets came back to defeat the Clippers in overtime on Friday. He scored 17 points and pulled down 10 rebounds.

Our View: Smith, who usually does his damage from behind the three-point line, hit just one three on Friday. The 10 defensive rebounds may not happen again the rest of the season. The Nuggets were without Carmelo Anthony as he served the final game of his suspension resulting from a DUI charge. Once he returns, you can expect Smith's minutes to decline, but he still holds fantasy value.
Allen Iverson, G Saturday 11/1, 1:26 AM CT
The AP reports that Allen Iverson scored nine of his 25 points in the final 3:35 of overtime and the Denver Nuggets overcame an 18-point halftime deficit to beat the Los Angeles Clippers 113-103 on Friday night.

Our View: Iverson had a poor preseason but he seems completely ok to continue to play big minutes and produce good numbers in the regular season.
