Kobe Bryant, G Wednesday 11/19, 12:40 AM CT
Kobe Bryant was held under his season average of 24.8 points-per-game, with 21 by the Bulls, but the Lakers still won 116-109. Bryant also had five rebounds, six assists, three steals, and two blocks.

Our View: Even without going off for 30+ points, Kobe still is a strong fantasy contributor as he registered across the board on Tuesday. He's making a run at back-to-back MVPs.
Pau Gasol, F Wednesday 11/19, 12:34 AM CT
Pau Gasol had a huge game in leading the Lakers to victory on Tuesday. He finished with 34 points, six rebounds, and three assists.

Our View: This was Gasol's best game of the young season as it was his season high in scoring.
Vladimir Radmanovic, F Tuesday 11/18, 12:28 PM CT
Vladimir Radmanovic is questionable for Tuesday's outing against the Bulls due to his bruised left thigh, according to the Sports Network.

Our View: The Lakers would miss his long-range shooting, but wouldn't be missed by fantasy owners as he is only averaging 6.3 points per game.
Derek Fisher, G Monday 11/17, 4:40 PM CT
Derek Fisher (ribs) was able to practice on Monday and should be able to play on Tuesday against the Bulls, according to the Orange County Register. Fisher called his rib strain “nothing I’m overly concerned about.”

Our View: The Lakers have three games in four nights and four total games this week. Fisher has been borderline fantasy worthy, but backup Jordan Farmar is eating into a lot of his minutes.
Vladimir Radmanovic, F Monday 11/17, 4:38 PM CT
The Orange County Register reports that Vladimir Radmanovic (bruised thigh) was able to practice on Monday and should be able to play on Tuesday against Chicago.

Our View: Trevor Ariza could start in his place if he is not 100 percent. He his numbers, including his three-pointers, have not been fantasy worthy to this point despite starting for one of the league's elite teams.
Vladimir Radmanovic, F Sunday 11/16, 5:54 PM CT
Vladimir Radmanovic suffered a thigh contusion in practice on Sunday, and may not be able to play for the Lakers on Tuesday, according to the Orange County Register.

Our View: Radmanovic is not fantasy-worthy considering his modest numbers. His place in the lineup would be taken by Trevor Ariza.
Derek Fisher, G Sunday 11/16, 5:52 PM CT
Lakers guard Derek Fisher has sore ribs, and he was unable to complete practice on Sunday, according to the Orange County Register.

Our View: Fisher is a solid role player for the Lakers, but is not a viable fantasy option, even though he plays nearly 28 minutes per game.
Sasha Vujacic, G Sunday 11/16, 5:50 PM CT
Sasha Vujacic practiced with the Lakers on Sunday, even though his right ankle acted up on him once again on Friday, according to the Orange County Register.

Our View: Vujacic has played in eight games this year, and is averaging just 5.5 points and 13.9 minutes, so his fantasy value is nil.
Kobe Bryant, G Saturday 11/15, 12:28 AM CT
Kobe Bryant scored 29 points in the Lakers' first defeat of the year. He also contributed five rebounds, six assists, four steals, and a block.

Our View: Kobe was solid for the Lakers but didn't have much support, as Pau Gasol was the only other starter to score in double figures on Friday. All five Pistons' starters scored in double figures.
Pau Gasol, F Saturday 11/15, 12:25 AM CT
Pau Gasol scored 15 on Friday in the Lakers' first loss of the year. He also had 10 rebounds and six assists.

Our View: Gasol was right around his averages for the season on Friday, but average hasn't been good enough to beat the Pistons lately.
Kobe Bryant, G Thursday 11/13, 8:02 AM CT
Despite hitting a big shot in the Lakers' 93-86 win over New Orleans Wednesday, coach Phil Jackson was not thrilled with the play of Kobe Bryant in the fourth quarter, according to the L.A. Times. "He was doing too much at the end of the ball game. We should have had him off ball a few times so it wasn't always him on ball," said Jackson.

Our View: Bryant scored 20 points in the game, which included a three-pointer with about a minute left. No matter what Jackson says, Kobe is likely going to be the guy with the ball in his hands at the end of the game, which is just fine with fantasy owners.
Kobe Bryant, G Wednesday 11/12, 11:47 PM CT
The AP reports that Kobe Bryant scored 20 points, highlighted by a tough three-pointer over James Posey with just over a minute left, and the Los Angeles Lakers improved to 7-0 with a 93-86 victory over New Orleans on Wednesday night. With his 20 points, Kobe needs just three to tie Larry Bird for 23rd on the all-time scoring list.

Our View: Kobe also led the team with six assists. With so many other offensive options now in L.A., it's only natural that Bryant's scoring will be down some this season. Hopefully, he can produce enough in other categories to warrant his high fantasy selection.
Lamar Odom, F Wednesday 11/12, 11:38 PM CT
Lamar Odom shot just 1-for-7 in Wednesday's win over the Hornets, but he was able to contribute in other ways. He finished with nine rebounds, four assists and three steals.

Our View: Odom's production this season is barely worthy of a bench spot, but he's too good to drop. Expect his numbers to creep up as the season progresses and they could take a big jump if Pau Gasol or Andrew Bynum were to get injured.
Derek Fisher, G Wednesday 11/12, 11:22 PM CT
Derek Fisher scored 20 points in 29 minutes as the Lakers defeated the Hornets 93-86 on Wednesday.

Our View: He only had one assist in the and is averaging less than three on the season. He has not played well enough to be a solid contributor on fantasy squads this season.
Andrew Bynum, C Wednesday 11/12, 10:07 PM CT
Andrew Bynum had 14 points, eight rebounds and four blocks as the Lakers won in New Orleans on Wednesday.

Our View: Bynum looks like he should finish amongst the Top 5 in blocks this year, assuming he is healthy.
Pau Gasol, F Tuesday 11/11, 10:34 PM CT
Pau Gasol scored 22 points and added 11 rebounds in the Lakers 106-99 win over the Dallas Mavericks.

Our View: Gasol and the Lakers have started the season 6-0 and he is having a solid season. The power forward is averaging 15 points a game.
Kobe Bryant, G Tuesday 11/11, 10:30 PM CT
Kobe Bryant led the Lakers in scoring with 27 points on 10-of-20 shooting. The Lakers beat the Mavericks 106-99.

Our View: The Lakers outscored the Mavericks in the second half 52-39 in their come from behind win. Bryant and the Lakers are 6-0.
Kobe Bryant, G Sunday 11/9, 11:06 PM CT
Kobe Bryant led the Lakers in scoring with 23 points as they handed a beat down to the Rockets in their 111-82 victory over the 4-3 Rockets. Jordan Farmer added 16 points while Andrew Bynum contributed 13 points and seven rebounds.

Our View: The Lakers entered halftime leading by just two, 50 to 48, before outscoring the Rockets by 27 points in the second half. Bryant hit 10 of 17 shots on the night while adding three boards, three assists, two steals and two blocked shots.
Pau Gasol, F Sunday 11/9, 10:57 PM CT
Pau Gasol produced a nice line on Sunday night as he scored 20 points on 7-for-10 shooting from the field and 6-for-6 from the line. Gasol also added 15 boards in the victory over the Rockets.

Our View: Talk about efficient. Gasol is averaging 14.6 points and 11.6 boards per game in the early going, numbers that compare very favorably to his production in 27 games with the Lakers last season (18.8 points, 7.8 boards).
Coby Karl, G Thursday 11/6, 4:17 PM CT
Coby Karl has decided to join the Idaho Stampede of the NBDL rather than playing in Europe, according to the Orange County Register.

Our View: Karl, the son of Nuggets' coach George Karl, does not have any fantasy value and was waived by the Lakers on October 27th.
Kobe Bryant, G Thursday 11/6, 12:22 AM CT
Kobe Bryant poured in 27 points as the Lakers beat the Clippers 106-88 on Wednesday. He was just 8-for-21 from the field and 11-for-14 from the line.

Our View: Kobe had three assists, two boards, two steals, two blocks and two turnovers on the night. His production will fluctuate with his minutes as a dominant Lakers squad will look to keep Kobe as fresh as possible throughout the season.
Lamar Odom, F Thursday 11/6, 12:18 AM CT
Lamar Odom had his best game of the regular season as the Lakers beat the Clippers 106-88 on Wednesday. He played 29 minutes off of the bench, scored 15 points, grabbed nine rebounds, had three steals and blocked two shots in the win.

Our View: It was a good game for Odom and this line will probably be among his better ones of the season, barring an injury to Andrew Bynum or Pau Gasol.
Andrew Bynum, C Thursday 11/6, 12:14 AM CT
Andrew Bynum scored just nine points, but he pulled down 17 rebounds and blocked four shots as the Lakers defeated the Clippers 106-88 on Wednesday.

Our View: Bynum will have a number of games like this during the season and his owners should not be upset. Bynum is fantasy relative because of his rebounding and shot-blocking abilities.
Andrew Bynum, C Tuesday 11/4, 6:54 PM CT
Andrew Bynum strained his shoulder in practice but it will not keep him off the floor, according to the Orange County Register.

Our View: Bynum is a key to the Lakers run back to the NBA Finals. The center practiced on Tuesday so he will be fine for Wednesday.
Andrew Bynum, C Monday 11/3, 4:26 PM CT
The Orange County Register reports that Andrew Bynum strained the rotator cuff in his right shoulder during practice but is expected to play Wednesday night against the Clippers. "It’s all right; it’s just a little tight,” Bynum said.

Our View: Bynum should practice on Tuesday, but with a weak shoulder, expect him to challenge less shots and perhaps attempt less dunks until he is once again 100 percent.
Kobe Bryant, G Saturday 11/1, 11:35 PM CT
Kobe Bryant carried the Lakers with a game-high 33 points in Saturday's 104-97 win over Denver. He also chipped in four boards, three assists, and two steals. Pau Gasol led with 16 rebounds as well.

Our View: Bryant was only averaging 19.5 points over the first two games of the season due to a strong supporting cast, but proved tonight that he can still score among the NBA's elite.
