Al Jefferson, F Wednesday 11/19, 9:44 PM CT
Al Jefferson led the Timberwolves with 25 points and eight rebounds in their 102-96 win over the 76ers on Wednesday night.

Our View: Jefferson has scored over 20 points in all but three of the Timberwolves games. The center averages a double-double and is one of the better centers in the league.
Craig Smith, F Wednesday 11/19, 9:48 PM CT
Craig Smith scored 21 points off the Timberwolves bench in Wednesday night's 102-96 win over the 76ers

Our View: Smith is a solid contributor off of the the Timberwolves bench but he doesn't hold much value for fantasy owners.
Kevin Love, F Monday 11/17, 9:14 AM CT
The Minneapolis Star Tribune reports that rookie forward Kevin Love was taken out of the starting lineup in favor or Ryan Gomes on Sunday.

Our View: Love is putting up 8.8 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game. He was taken out of a starting role more for his defensive play, however. His up and down rookie season make it difficult for fantasy owners to count on him on a regular basis.
Randy Foye, G Monday 11/17, 9:18 AM CT
Timberwolves point guard Randy Foye has played at least 33 minutes in each of his last three games, compared to 14 or less for starter Sebastian Telfair, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

Our View: This includes Sunday's tilt, in which Telfair started, but played only five minutes, while Foye saw 39 minutes of action and scored 18 points while grabbing five rebounds and dishing six assists. His fantasy value will continue to rise with his increased playing time.
Al Jefferson, F Sunday 11/16, 9:48 PM CT
Al Jefferson scored 20 points and grabbed 14 rebounds in the Timberwolves' loss to the Denver Nuggets on Sunday.

Our View: Jefferson is one of the better big men for fantasy owners to have on their roster, and there is no reason to think he'll have a drop-off of any kind.
Blake Ahearn, G Sunday 11/16, 3:05 PM CT
The Spurs signed Blake Ahearn on Sunday, the Associated Press reports.

Our View: The sharp-shooting Missouri State alum is unlikely to see many minutes.
Randy Foye, G Saturday 11/15, 11:24 PM CT
Randy Foye was limited to just 10 points in 34 minutes on Saturday, shooting just 5-of-14 from the field. Foye also had four boards and two assists.

Our View: Foye's owned in most leagues, but makes owners ask themselves why with games like this.
Mike Miller, G Saturday 11/15, 11:27 PM CT
Mike Miller only had 10 points in Minnesota's loss to Portland on Saturday. He had five rebounds and five assists as well.

Our View: Miller and the Wolves aren't getting it done right now. Other than Al Jefferson who scored 26 on Saturday, most of their guys should be bench players in fantasy right now.
Jason Collins, F Wednesday 11/12, 8:25 AM CT
Jason Collins' surgically repaired elbow has healed and Collins is ready to play, according to the Star Tribune. He was ready since last week, but did not play against Sacramento, Portland, or Golden State. Collins said, "I'm ready to play anytime. Just waiting for the right matchups."

Our View: The big man will provide favorable depth, but won't play enough minutes to register a blip on the fantasy radar.
Sebastian Telfair, G Tuesday 11/11, 12:03 AM CT
Sebastian Telfair has started the past two games for the Minnesota Timberwolves at point guard and appears to have won the battle with Randy Foye for the position.

Our View: Assuming his holds onto the job, Telfair probably has more fantasy value going forward.
Randy Foye, G Tuesday 11/11, 12:05 AM CT
Randy Foye has come off of the bench in Minnesota's last two games and it appears that will be his role for the remainder of the season.

Our View: Foye should average double-digit points but his production will likely diminish as long as he is not a starter.
Al Jefferson, F Saturday 11/8, 11:50 PM CT
Al Jefferson finished with 27 points, five rebounds, five assists, three blocks and two steals as the Timberwolves fell 93-97 to the Trail Blazers on Saturday.

Our View: Despite just five rebounds, the rest of Jefferson's numbers were well above his averages. It should be viewed as a good sign that Jefferson is still looking for ways to expand his game.
Kevin Love, F Saturday 11/8, 11:56 PM CT
Kevin Love shot 0-for-7 despite six offesive rebounds on Saturday as the Timberwolves fell 93-97 in Portland. He finished with two points, seven rebounds, one assist and no blocks in 26 minutes.

Our View: Despite starting, Love is not worthy of a fantasy roster spot at this point.
Sebastian Telfair, G Friday 11/7, 5:59 PM CT
Sebastian Telfair will start Friday for the Wolves, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

Our View: Telfair should be a good source for points and assists for fantasy owners.
Kevin Love, F Friday 11/7, 6:04 PM CT
Kevin Love will start for the Wolves on Friday night, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

Our View: Love has been a decent source of points and rebounds so far this season. He's owned in nearly all fantasy leagues.
Randy Foye, G Thursday 11/6, 4:28 PM CT
Randy Foye may soon lose his starting spot to Sebastian Telfair, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

Our View: If you have Foye, you might attempt to trade him before he loses even more fantasy value. He's not scoring nearly as much as he used to, shooting just 8-of-36 so far this season.
Mike Miller, G Wednesday 11/5, 10:32 PM CT
Mike Miller busted out of his three-game slump with 25 points as the Timberwolves fell 129-125 on Wednesday. He hit five threes and contributed seven rebounds and six assists.

Our View: Miller has looked uncomfortable at times with his new team, but he was on the court for 48 minutes against the Spurs. Expect him to pick up his production moving forward.
Al Jefferson, F Wednesday 11/5, 10:35 PM CT
Al Jefferson battled all night with Tim Duncan on Wednesday as Minnesota fell in double-overtime. Jefferson finished with 30 points, 14 rebounds and two blocks.

Our View: Jefferson is off to another good start for Minnesota. He is becoming one of the most consistent big men in the game and a valuable fantasy commodity.
Kevin Love, F Wednesday 11/5, 11:10 PM CT
Kevin Love finished Minnesota's double-overtime loss with 37 minutes of playing time. He scored 14 points, grabbed nine rebounds and blocked three shots. He shot just 4-for-13 but did hit a three.

Our View: Love is not roster worthy right now. There will be night's when he gets minutes and produces decent stat lines, but there are better, more consistent options out there.
Sebastian Telfair, G Wednesday 11/5, 11:14 PM CT
Sebastian Telfair returned from his three-game suspension on Wednesday and played 30 minutes in Minnesota's 129-125 double-overtime loss to the Spurs. He had eight points, 10 assists, a steal and one turnover in the effort.

Our View: Randy Foye is not playing very well and there's a good chance Telfair will eat into his minutes. If he were to steal the starting job from Foye (unlikely) he would likely be worth owning on teams that are desperate for assists.
Sebastian Telfair, G Monday 11/3, 9:41 AM CT
Sebastian Telfair will return from his three-game suspension Wednesday, according to the Downtown Journal.

Our View: Randy Foye is not playing up to expectations, and Telfair could cut into his minutes when he returns. Telfair has solid skills and is worth targeting as a flier.
Jason Collins, F Sunday 11/2, 7:27 AM CT
Minnesota big man Jason Collins is getting closer to making his return from an injured elbow, and he may be able to play by the end of next week, according to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune.

Our View: Collins is simply depth for the Timberwolves and has no fantasy value.
Al Jefferson, F Sunday 11/2, 8:34 PM CT
Al Jefferson scored 24 points and grabbed 13 rebounds but it was not enough to put the Timberwolves over the Thunder on Sunday. He shot 11-for-17 on the night.

Our View: Another standard game for Jefferson. He is becoming one of the most consistent big men in the game and a valuable fantasy commodity.
Randy Foye, G Sunday 11/2, 10:26 PM CT
Randy Foye shot 0-for-10 as the Timberwolves fell to the Thunder 85-88 on Sunday. He had six assists to go with five turnovers.

Our View: Foye has shot just 8-of-36 to start the season. He was once known as a scorer, but he is only averaging 7.3 points per game thus far into the season.
Kevin Love, F Sunday 11/2, 10:50 PM CT
Kevin Love played 18 minutes and had four points, four rebounds, and a block as Minnesota fell to Oklahoma City 85-88.

Our View: Love is not roster worthy right now. There will be night's when he gets minutes and produces decent stat lines, but there are better, more consistent options out there.
Rashad McCants, G Sunday 11/2, 10:55 PM CT
After two productive games off of the bench, Rashad McCants shot just 1-for-6 to finish with four points in 19 minutes.

Our View: If McCants can't hit his shot, he is useless to his fantasy owners. After taking 18 shots in their first game, he has combined for 14 shots in his past two. Expect similar inconsistencies all season unless there is a major shakeup in Minnesota's rotation.
Al Jefferson, F Saturday 11/1, 10:22 PM CT
Al Jefferson registered a double-double in Saturday's 95-85 loss to Dallas, with 14 points and a game-high 12 rebounds. He also notched three steals and a block.

Our View: He had a solid fantasy statline, but did not really perform well, as he only shot 5-of-15 from the field, and was guilty of a game-high four turnovers.
