Hornets extend lease, but could still opt out of agreement
New Orleans, LA (Sports Network) - The New Orleans Hornets and the state of Louisiana reached a deal Wednesday that extends the team's lease through 2014, but provisions in the agreement could allow the club to leave after next season.

The Hornets agreed to a two-year extension, covering the two years lost during the team's relocation to Oklahoma City following Hurricane Katrina. However, certain benchmarks included means the team can choose to renegotiate or opt out of the agreement if attendance falls below 14,735 between December 1, 2007 and the end of the 2008-09 seaso... Newsbreakers
Rasual Butler, GSaturday 11/29, 9:23 AM CT
Rasual Butler has started each of New Orleans' last five games due to an injury to Morris Peterson, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune.

Our View:Because the team has won four of those contests, it is possible that the Hornets will continue to use Butler as a starter even when Peterson's balky knee gets healthy.
Tyson Chandler, CSaturday 11/29, 9:20 AM CT
Hornets center Tyson Chandler returned to the team after missing one game due to the birth of his child, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune.

Our View:Chandler is averaging solid though not spectacular numbers, averaging 8.2 points, 7.9 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game, so he is usable at least for depth in fantasy leagues.
Peja Stojakovic, GFriday 11/28, 11:33 PM CT
Peja Stojakovic was the only Hornet to get to 20 points on Friday, finishing with 21. He also had three rebounds, two steals, and one assists.

Our View:Stojakovic is owned in nearly all leagues, but is primarily only a good source of scoring.
