Report: Shaq to end career in 735 days
Orlando, FL (Sports Network) - Shaquille O'Neal told a Florida television news station Thursday that his basketball career will be over "in 735 days."

In an interview with Orlando's News 13 at an event at the Pine Hills Boys and Girls Club, the Phoenix Suns center said he plans to finish out the remainder of his contract. His current deal runs through the end of the 2009-10 season, and O'Neal said he would retire after that, even going so far as putting a specific number of days to his departure from the NBA.

Newsbreakers
Leandro Barbosa, GMonday 10/13, 5:11 PM CT
Leandro Barbosa was back with the Phoenix Suns after he missed nearly two weeks to be with his ill mother, according to the East Valley Tribune.

Our View:Barbosa's mother, who lives in Brazil, is very ill with a lung infection, but he said that she was doing better and may leave the hospital in time.
Steve Nash, GSaturday 10/11, 11:58 PM CT
Guard Steve Nash paced the Suns with 16 points in Saturday's preseason game against the Nuggets. He also chipped in two assists and two rebounds.

Our View:Both the Suns and Nuggets has terrible shooting nights in the outdoor air. Don't those guys know they have to adjust for the wind? Nash should be highly regarded in fantasy leagues no matter what happens this preseason.
Matt Barnes, FThursday 10/9, 10:50 PM CT
Matt Barnes was a force off of the bench for Phoenix on Thursday night as the Suns defeated the Jazz 96-89. He scored 21 points and pulled down 13 rebounds.

Our View:Barnes has fantasy value in deep leagues as he will likely see a lot of minutes as the Suns try and keep Grant Hill as fresh as possible. Don't count on big rebounding numbers but Barnes can score, get steals, and hit a lot of threes.
