Junior Seau would only come back to the NFL to play for the Patriots, according to the Providence Journal. "Going in and playing for another team besides the Pats, it would be a waste of my time and a waste of theirs," Seau said.

Our View:Seau is recovering from a rotator cuff injury, and he'll likely only be needed by New England if they suffer an injury.

Junior Seau is expected to re-sign with the Patriots before the start of training camp, according to ESPN Insider.

Our View:Seau will provide depth to the Patriots' linebacking corps, but is no longer a favorable IDP performer.

Junior Seau still hasn't decided if he we will return for another season, according to the Boston Globe. "I'd say it would probably be closer to training camp than [early June's] mini-camp," HC Bill Belichick said.

Our View:Seau is more of an emotional leader than anything else at this point, and he is clearly well past the point where he is worthy of consideration in most IDP leagues.

Junior Seau's future with the Patriots remains in limbo, but the 18-year veteran could be returning for another run in New England, according to USA Today. The Patriots are scheduled to bring in Seau for a physical to check on a surgically repaired shoulder.

Our View:During the offseason the organization has added veteran linebacker Victor Hobson and rookie Jarod Mayo, which leaves Seau as a role player with minimal IDP value, if he decides to return for a 19th season.

Junior Seau had arthroscopic shoulder surgery on his rotator cuff this off-season leaving his NFL future in doubt, this according to the AP. "There really isn’t anything on the table for me to look at except me getting healthy and being ready to go whenever anything that is a liking to me surfaces." It sounds as if Seau is secure in his place in NFL history and if he doesn't ever play again he will be fine. Still, if healthy, he figures to get a contract offer from someone even if it isn't the Pats.
