Newsbreakers
November 23, 2008
Trent Green has been benched in the fourth quarter of the game against Chicago.

Our View:Green, who completed 16-of-30 passes for 219 yards and four interceptions, was replaced in the lineup by Brock Berlin.
November 12, 2008
Quarterback Trent Green was able to fully participate in practice despite an elbow injury sustained in the second half last Sunday against the New York Jets, according to the St. Louis Post Dispatch.

Our View:Green replaced Marc Bulger in the second half against the Jets but he will go back to the bench this weekend against the 49ers. At least at the start of the game.
November 10, 2008
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that Trent Green suffered a minor injury to his right elbow while making a tackle after an interception, but should be available to back up Marc Bulger on Sunday in San Francisco.

Our View:Green saw some action against the Jets but failed to impress his coaches enough for them to make him the starter. He currently does not have any value in fantasy leagues.
September 28, 2008
Green was somewhat effective in his first start of the season for the Rams on Sunday, throwing for 236 yards while completing 17-of-32 passes with an interception.

Our View:The Rams have a bye in Week 5, and there is no word on who will start at quarterback for the team in Week 6. Of course, the Rams could have a new head coach as well with rumors circulating all week that Scott Linehan would be gone if the Rams lost in Week 4. Either way, Green does not seem like a particularly valuable fantasy play.
September 23, 2008
Trent Green will be under center for the Rams in Week 4 against the Bills, according to the AP. Marc Bulger has been benched after throwing for just 519 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions in three games.

Our View:Green surely can't do any worse than Bulger, though we do worry about Green's history of concussions, as Bulger has already been sacked 11 times this year.
