October 10, 2008 There is a "good chance" that Seahawks quarterback Matt Hasselbeck will be unable to play in the team's Week 6 contest against the Packers, according to Mike Sando of ESPN.com.
Our View:Hasselbeck has a sprained knee that reportedly did not respond well to treatment administered to it this week. With Seneca Wallace also hurting, Charlie Frye is the likely candidate to get the start against Green Bay. What happens if Frye gets injured is anyone's guess, unless the team signs another quarterback between now and Sunday.
October 9, 2008 Matt Hasselbeck did not practice again on Thursday according to the Seattle Times. Coach Mike Holmgren said he wasn’t sure if Hasselbeck will practice on Thursday or Friday, either. Hasselbeck is still expected to play when Seattle hosts the Packers in a pivotal game that will reverse one team’s slide. “If Matt didn’t practice all week and could play Sunday, I would welcome him with open arms,” Holmgren said with a wry smile. “He has to play.”
Our View:Hasselbeck has a knee injury but it appears that he should still be ready to go on Sunday against the Packers at home.

Our View:This doesn't sound like anything to get to worked up about. The veteran should be considered a full-go for Sunday's home game.
October 7, 2008 ESPN is reporting that Matt Hasselbeck will play for the Seahawks in Week 6. Hasselbeck hyperextended his knee against the Giants but a MRI revealed no structural damage.
Our View:It has been a rough start for Hasselbeck in 2008. He has only thrown two touchdown passes to go along with four interceptions. The number that is really disturbing is the 49 percent completion percentage.
