Matt Hasselbeck took some snaps after giving his sore left hand a rest earlier in the week, the Tacoma News-Tribune reports. In earlier practices this week, Hasselbeck has been doing everything but taking the snap under center, looking to rest the bruise on his non-throwing hand.

Matt Hasselbeck did not take direct snaps in practice Thursday, as anticipated, to protect his left hand that was bruised in Monday night's game against the Packers, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer reports. Hasselbeck showed no signs that his glove-protected left hand is hindering his ability to run the offense, and he threw the ball extremely well.

Matt Hasselbeck doesn't appear to have a broken finger as originally reported, according to the Seattle Times. "It's a bruise," coach Mike Holmgren said of Hasselbeck's hand injury. Holmgren added: "I don't think that will be an issue. Not by the time we play the football game."

KING-5 TV in Seattle reported last night that an MRI revealed that Matt Hasselbeck has a broken finger on his left (non-throwing) hand, according to the Seattle Times. He sustained the injury during Monday night's game, though he completed the contest. The Seahawks couldn't confirm the injury or the MRI, but coach Mike Holmgren likely will discuss the quarterback's status today. Although it could affect his handling of snaps, it looks like Hasselbeck shouldn't miss any action.

Foxsports.com reports that Matt Hasselbeck injured his non-throwing hand on Monday night when he slammed it against a helmet. Hasselbeck was scheduled to go for an MRI today.

It was a tale of two halves for Matt Hasselbeck Monday against Green Bay. He completed just 10-of-22 passes in the first half and was intercepted three times (he also lost a fumble), but he rallied to throw three touchdown passes (on just seven completions) after the break, in addition to a two-point conversion. Hasselbeck's final line for the night: 17-for-36 passing, 157 yards, three touchdowns, three interceptions. The Seahawks travel to Denver next Sunday night.

Matt Hasselbeck has officially been named to start Monday's game with Green Bay, the Tacoma News-Tribune reports. The Seahawks have been happy with Hasselbeck's work in practice all week, as he makes his way back from a knee injury. Hasselbeck and the Seahawks will be dealing with a makeshift offensive line, however, as Robbie Tobeck and Sean Locklear are not going to play.
