The Packers will have the ninth overall pick in the 2009 NFL Draft after finishing 6-10 this season, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.

Our View:It is just the second time in 16 years (since Terrell Buckley was selected fifth in 1992) that the Packers have a pick inside the top 10.

Charles Woodson recorded his sixth interception of the season on Monday against the Bears. He also had five tackles, four of which were solos.

Our View:Woodson's six picks rank him third best in the NFL behind Baltimore's Ed Reed and Pittsburgh's Troy Polamalu who each have seven this year.
December 21, 2008
The Packers hope to move Charles Woodson back to cornerback with Aaron Rouse returning to his post at safety, according to FOX Sports.

Our View:The Packers' secondary will be stronger, but may not be much of a factor as it looks to be around 10 degrees at game-time Monday night at Soldier Field, meaning the Bears are likely to keep the ball on the ground with Matt Forte, who has accounted for an NFL-high 35.19 percent of his team's yards from scrimmage.
December 3, 2008
Head Coach Mike McCarthy said Wednesday that Charles Woodson will work at safety again in practice this week and likely start there this weekend, according to the Packers official web site.

Our View:Woodson has only played one game at the position in his career and that was last week against the Panthers.
December 2, 2008
Charles Woodson performed well while serving at strong safety in Week 13 against Carolina, and the Packers may feature him more at the position with Aaron Rouse and Atari Bigby ailing, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. Secondary coach Kurt Schottenheimer said, "He was outstanding. He caused a fumble, he played with great anticipation and he made some good tackles. We were really pleased with Charles' ability to go back and play there."

Our View:Woodson would have more chances to make tackles from the strong safety spot, hence raising his value for IDP leagues. He returned two of his five interceptions for touchdowns this season.
