March 24, 2008 Keith Brooking had arthroscopic knee surgery in January to repair damage that he said should have been fixed during the 2007 season, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Brooking said he is healed and feels so good that he will run the final 1.1 miles of the ING half-marathon in Atlanta on March 30. Brooking is expected to man the middle linebacker position in Atlanta in 2008.
March 19, 2008 Keith Brooking is expected to be the Falcons middle linebacker again in 2008, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The long-time Falcon prefers to play weakside linebacker, but the club currently doesn't have a better option in the middle. The upcoming NFL draft could change that plan, though. Brooking will remain a tackle machine no matter where he lines up.
