Defensive tackle Jamal Williams left Sunday's opener in the first quarter due to an undisclosed injury.
Our View:That's bad news for the Bolts defense. Williams is the rock in the middle of the line, and one of his backups, Brandon McKinney, is inactive this week.

According to NFLDraftScout.com, the 2008 supplemental draft, which had tentatively been scheduled for next week, has been cancelled.
"No one applied at the time of the deadline," 49ers general manager Scot McCloughan confirmed Thursday. The NFL sent out a memo to all 32 teams informing them of the announcement Wednesday. Nine players have been selected in the supplemental draft over the past decade, including Chargers Pro Bowl nose guard Jamal Williams.
Our View:There have been several articles recently that mentioned Southern California middle linebacker Rey Maualuga, Oklahoma State tight Brandon Pettigrew and Mississippi State offensive tackle Michael Brown as candidates for the draft.

Defensive tackle Jamal Williams underwent left knee surgery on Thursday, the San Diego Union-Tribune reports. The big fella previously had his right knee scoped on April 1.
Our View:It's no secret that the sometimes-dominant Williams has bad knees, and the Chargers would be wise to pick up a young tackle early in the upcoming draft. Jamal turns 32 later this month.
