Jamal Williams is taking advantage of the bye week. He underwent surgery to remove particles from both knees on Monday. "Based on what our doctors said, it would have been hard for him to keep going," head coach Norv Turner tells the AP. Williams could be back when the Chargers return to action in Week 8.
