November 28, 2008
The Wisonsin State Journal reports that Al Harris does not believe he will play with the Packers next season, even though he's under contract through 2011. Although he said he hasn't spoken to general manager Ted Thompson about it, he believes with the team's stable of young cornerbacks — Tramon Williams, who played well as a starter in Harris' place, as well as Will Blackmon and Pat Lee — behind him, the club will move him during the offseason for a draft pick.

Our View:Harris is coming off of a Pro Bowl season, but he's about to turn 34 in December. He is likely getting ahead of himself with this statement.

The Journal Sentinel reports that Al Harris is ready to start on Sunday against the Titans.

Our View:Harris has missed most of the season to a spleen injury. He is one of the better cornerbacks in the league and should be a good IDP option assuming he is healthy.
October 30, 2008
Packers cornerback Al Harris practiced with the team on Thursday, and he could be ready to play on Sunday, according to Packers.com.

Our View:Harris has been out with an injured spleen for the past five games, but after rumors he would be done for the year, he seems well on his way back.
October 21, 2008
Injured corner back Al Harris has missed the last four games with an injured spleen but on Tuesday he said he will be ready to play in the Packers next game, according to Packersnews.com.

Our View:The Packers have a bye week in Week 8 which will give Harris another week to get ready. The return of Harris will be a big boost to the secondary.
October 19, 2008
Packers inactives: QB Brian Brohm (3rd), S Atari Bigby, CB Al Harris, DE Jason Hunter, T Breno Giacomini, G Allen Barbre, WR James Jones, DT Mike Montgomery.

Our View:Harris will be out until at least after the team's bye next week.
