Our View:Williams was pretty hit or miss for fantasy owners this year. Other than the games in which he rushed for 105 and 98 yards in Weeks 10 and 3 respectively, his highest game the rest of the year was just 54 rushing yards in Week 13.
December 4, 2008 Ricky Williams would be open to returning to the CFL, according to the Toronto Sun. Williams said, "If I had the opportunity and it worked for my family, I'd definitely jump at the opportunity."
Our View:He played 11 games for the Toronto Argonauts in 2006, and enjoyed his stint in the CFL. Williams is performing well for the Dolphins this season as he is averaging 4.3 yards per carry.
November 10, 2008 Ricky Williams commented on Sunday's close win over Seattle, according to the Sun-Sentinel. He said, "It just shows that we have character. That's what coach preaches; he wants character guys that will fight and keep the game in our hands. I just want to win. The running game hasn't been as good as we would have liked. We just kept fighting and it's nice when Ronnie Brown and myself run it like we did today."
Our View:Williams broke loose for his first 100-yard effort of 2008, as he ended his day with 105 yards on only 12 carries, which includes a 51-yard touchdown run. Williams should be active in fantasy lineups in Week 11 with a favorable match-up against the Raiders.
November 9, 2008 Running back Ricky Williams starred in the Week 10 win over the Seahawks. He rushed 12 times for 105 yards and a touchdown, and he added two receptions for 21 yards.
Our View:The statline was due to look good after Ricky ripped off a 51-yard touchdown to open the second quarter. He continues to split looks with Ronnie Brown.
November 2, 2008 Ricky Williams didn't get a much larger number of touches this week. He had just six carries for 16 yards and one reception that went for 23 yards.
Our View:Williams is still probably just a fourth string back in most ten team leagues until he can provide more consistency.
