The Rams' list of coaching candidates now includes Vikings defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier, Dolphins secondary coach Todd Bowles, Ravens defensive coordinator Rex Ryan, former Giants coach Jim Fassel, Cowboys receivers coach Ray Sherman, interim Rams coach Jim Haslett and Packers linebackers coach Winston Moss, according to ESPN.

Our View:The Rams would probably be better off hiring a guy with head coaching experience. They didn't do so when they hired Scott Linehan as their last head coach and it cost them dearly.

Torry Holt could be released in the off-season by the Rams, according to FOX Sports.

Our View:The 32-year-old Holt is on the verge of having his streak of consecutive 1,000 yard receiving campaigns end at eight, unless he gains 294 yards today at Atlanta. He would like to play for Carolina, and could potentially bounce back and serve as a solid complement to speed demon Steve Smith if that happens.
December 26, 2008
Torry Holt still will not commit, at least publicly, to saying that he would like to continue his career in St. Louis next season, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View:Holt has averaged 89 receptions and 1,318 yards a season coming into this year, so after a year of just 58 receptions and 706 yards it is unclear just how badly that the Rams would want him back. Regardless of where he plays, Holt can no longer be looked at as anything more than a WR3 until he proves otherwise on the field.
December 24, 2008
The Rams have decided to freeze ticket prices going into next season due to both the economy and the team's poor record, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View:If the Rams are to lose on Sunday to the 10-5 Falcons, they will drop to just 5-27 in two years.
December 14, 2008
The AP reports that Torry Holt said an official used the Jumbotron to call a penalty Sunday that nullified what would have been a 30-yard pass play.

Our View:It was still a good game for the receiver who hauled in four balls for 64 yards and one touchdown in the Week 15 loss to Seattle.
