Newsbreakers
November 19, 2008
Patrick Kerney has been placed on the injured reserve ending his season, according to the Seattle Times.

Our View:Kerney wasn't a terrible option in IDP leagues, but should be dropped in all leagues now.
November 17, 2008
Defensive end Patrick Kerney (shoulder) has already been ruled out for Seattle's Week 12 matchup, according to the Tacoma News Tribune.

Our View:He has not played since Week 8. He had totaled five sacks to that point of the season. With the Seahawks virtually eliminated from the playoffs, expect Seattle to remain cautious with him.
November 13, 2008
Defensive end Patrick Kerney has been ruled out for the Seahawks' game against Arizona on Sunday, according to the Seattle Times.

Our View:This was an expected move for the defensive end, who recently had surgery on his shoulder.
November 10, 2008
The Seattle Times reports that defensive end Patrick Kerney is not expected to play in Week 11. Coach Mike Holmgren said he is considered doubtful to practice after undergoing shoulder surgery on November 4.

Our View:Kerney is a solid IDP producer but he could miss a few more games as the Seahawks will not push him to rejoin a losing team.
November 5, 2008
The News Tribune reports Patrick Kerney does not have a torn labrum and just needed to have his shoulder cleaned out.

Our View:This is good news, but the team still does not know how long their best pass rusher will be out. They will get a better idea of his status when he gets examined by team doctors upon his return to Seattle. He will stay in Alabama for a few days following his surgery (by Dr. James Andrews) and should be back with the Seahawks by the end of this week.
