Our View:Winfield recorded a sack, forced fumble and a fumble recovery on one play in the second quarter, setting up a touchdown. He also returned a block field goal for a touchdown.
September 19, 2008 Antoine Winfield normally covers left cornerback, but may move to the other side to line up against speed demon Steve Smith this weekend, according to the Star Tribune. Smith would otherwise be lined up with Cedric Griffin, who struggled last week against Anthony Gonzalez and the Colts.
Our View:Smith burned the Vikings for 201 receiving yards back in 2005, and will be well-rested while sitting out the first two games while serving a suspension. Winfield noted that he would welcome the opportunity to cover the elite Smith.
