It is possible that to clear up space under the salary cap to sign a defensive lineman, the Denver Broncos will cut a high salaried player, which may be Dre Bly, according to Pro Football Weekly.

Our View:Bly had just two interceptions this season and was a part of what turned out to be a horrid Broncos pass defense, though the lack of a pass rush likely didn't help.

Cornerback Dre Bly exited the game against the New York Jets in the third quarter with an undisclosed injury.

Our View:No additional information is currently available.

Dre Bly was fined $20,000 for comments he made about the officials after last weeks game with the Jaguars, according to the Associated Press. “I guess they’ve been evaluating us and say we won games we shouldn’t have won. So, I guess they’re going to get a call against us,” Bly said after the game.

Our View:Who hasn't been fined in the NFL today? Bly will pay the fine and move on, but once again the league shows that it has little sense of humor when it comes to criticizing officials.

Dre Bly suffered an arm injury during the morning workout Wednesday and did not return, according to the Denver Post.

Our View:The team is yet to determine the severity of the ailment. Bly only recorded 51 tackles in 2007, but holds value in IDP leagues that put an emphasis on interceptions, as he hauled in five.

Denver Broncos cornerback Bly said he "tweaked" his right hamstring a couple of weeks ago, and only this week has been feeling good enough to go full speed, according to the Denver Post. "It's still not 100 percent, but still, it is good enough for me to break and react without having any pain," Bly said. "I can open up and run, and I don't think I'm endangering myself at all right now by practicing. Actually, I think I'm strengthening it and helping it."

Our View:Bly intercepted five passes on the opposite side of Champ Bailey last season, and appears to be progessing nicely from the hamstring injury.
