March 27, 2008 The Pittsburgh Steelers appeared set to sign free-agent defensive lineman Anthony McFarland, but withdrew their offer after working him out yesterday, according to the Beaver County Times. A Steelers spokesman said late Wednesday afternoon that no deal has been struck with McFarland, because he had flunked his physical. McFarland, a veteran with 85 career starts, missed last season due to a knee injury.
March 26, 2008 Anthony “Booger” McFarland and the Pittsburgh Steelers came to an undisclosed contract agreement, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
