Newsbreakers
January 7, 2009
Jevon Kearse's DUI case has been rescheduled for February 5, according to the Tennessean.

Our View:Kearse was arrested back in June by the Vanderbilt Police Department, but is not expected to face a suspension from the NFL.
November 21, 2008
The Daily News reports that defensive end Jevon Kearse (knee) was added to the injury report and didn't practice on Thursday.

Our View:Kearse is not a big-time IDP producer, but his absence would be a big hit to the NFL's best defensive line.
September 30, 2008
Titans defensive end Jevon Kearse's hearing for his DUI has been continued until January 6, according to the Tennessean.

Our View:Kearse was arrested in late June and refused to take a breath test, leading to his arrest by Vanderbilt University police officers.
September 6, 2008
The Titans are pleased with Jevon Kearse and the club is optimistic in his ability to consistently contribute at a favorable level, according to Pro Football Weekly.

Our View:He struggled early in training camp but improved and closed out the preseason strong. Kearse racked up 14.5 sacks in his rookie season with Tennessee in 1999, which is the exact sack total he has registered over his last three seasons with the Eagles combined. Kearse looks to benefit from rejoining the Titans, but should only be considered for fantasy rosters as a reserve in IDP leagues.
July 30, 2008
Veteran defensive end Jevon Kearse was dressed for practice today but was held out of activities for the second day in a row, though the Titans have failed to report a reason for his inactivity, according to the Associated Press.

Our View:At this point, it is unclear what to believe. The team may be masking an injury or may simply be taking it easy on the veteran pass rusher, hoping to encourage his health in the regular season. Until the team addresses it, there is reason for concer.
