September 9, 2008 The Detroit News indicates that tight end Dan Campbell has reaggravated a hamstring injury that sidelined him for the preseason in Sunday's loss to Atlanta.
Our View:The team is awaiting more test results. Michael Gaines will see more action at tight end if Campbell is unable to play in Week 2.

Our View:After his recovery from an elbow problem, a hamstring pull kept him out of the last three preseason games. The Lions don't think he'll be fully football-ready until after their bye in Week 4. The team will feature some two-tight end sets now, but even more when Campbell is ready. He could be worth a look in deeper leagues as a backup.
