Aaron Smith was excused from another day of practice Thursday for undisclosed personal reasons, but he is expected to play Monday night against Washington, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Our View:He holds little to no fantasy value in IDP leagues, but is the most solid defensive end on the Steelers' roster, and will be needed to slow down a potent Redskins' ground attack.

Aaron Smith isn't fully recovered yet following biceps surgery, according to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. Coach Mike Tomlin said, "He's hitting the sled, participating in individual drills."

Defensive end Aaron Smith, whose season ended last December because of a torn biceps, has been working out on a regular basis at the Pittsburgh Steelers' complex, according to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. "He's getting close to normal," head coach Mike Tomlin said. Smith, who missed five games in 2007 due to the injury, posted 30 tackles and 2.5 sacks last year.
