Newsbreakers
December 27, 2008
Rams cornerback Fakhir Brown will be a game-time decision for the team, as he is struggling with an ankle injury, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Our View:Should Brown be unable to play, Jonathan Wade would man his spot at corner.
October 17, 2008
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that Fakhir Brown was able to get his shoulder completely healthy in his three weeks he spent as a free agent. He injured it in the first practice of training camp.

Our View:Brown could start for the Rams banged up secondary against Dallas this week. Even so, he remains mostly irrelevant in fantasy leagues.
October 13, 2008
The St. Louis Rams re-signed cornerback Fakhir Brown, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View:Brown was inexplicably cut by deposed Rams coach Scott Linehan two weeks ago. He is a solid corner who played well for the team, and is back under coach Jim Haslett.
October 8, 2008
Team sources indicate that Fakhir Brown won't be re-signed by the Rams this week, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View:Brown was the most solid veteran cornerback on the Rams' roster, but the team does not want to bring him back as there was belief he may be suspended for an undisclosed violation.
September 30, 2008
Though the Rams want to bring cornerback Fakhir Brown back into the mix, his agent would like the team to pony up for termination pay, which is basically a new contract on top of the guaranteed salary he will still be receiving as a vested veteran, according to Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View:Fired coach Scott Linehan thought it would be a good idea to terminate Brown, who was one of their more talented corners. It was yet another example of his incompetence.
