Our View:Where has this guy been all season? That's 13 receptions for 228 yards and two scores the past two weeks as Northcutt showed up right at the most vital time of year for fantasy owners who took a chance on him when Jones was suspended.

August 26, 2008 Jacksonville Jaguars receiver Dennis Northcutt is the target of a troubling lawsuit that includes assault allegations against a woman believed to be the mother of his child, according to Pro Football Talk. Mike Florio of PFT quotes a TMZ report stating a woman who was carrying Northcutt’s unborn baby claims that Northcutt conspired to have her beaten up. Sharri Henry claims that, in May 2008, Northcutt persuaded his cousin to “maliciously assault, beat, strike and batter Plaintiff, her face and head with great force and violence . . . causing severe and permanent disfigurement to her face.”
Our View:The suit was filed Tuesday in L.A. Henry reportedly filed a police report regarding the matter shortly after it happened. Apparently, no action was taken against Northcutt. Florio was sent an online interview by a reader that he also shares in the article, containing some rather disturbing quotes about Northcutt's views on women that are sure to be used against him if/when this case goes to trial. We will bring more news on this as it comes forth.
