Our View:He threw four interceptions in Sunday's disappointing loss to the Ravens, but was the Comeback Player of the Year, and was a contender for the MVP award. It is not surprising that the club intends to trust him as their starter for next season.
January 4, 2009 Chad Pennington won't want to forget the great season he had with the Dolphins, but he'll certainly want to forget the playoff game it led too. He had just one touchdown pass compared to four interceptions. He finished going 25-of-38 for 252 yards.
Our View:Pennington will likely be able to rebound and come back strong again next year. He's won Comeback Player of the Year twice in his career now including this season, so he's certainly shown people that he has the ability to bounce back from adversity.
December 31, 2008 The Associated Press reports that Chad Pennington has won the 2008 NFL Comeback Player of the Year Award, marking the second time in the last three years the Miami quarterback has been bestowed with the honor.
Our View:Pennington first won the award while with the New York Jets in 2006 after recovering from multiple rotator cuff surgeries to lead his team to the playoffs.
