Our View:Dayne had a reasonably good season last year with the Texans, rushing for 773 yards and six touchdowns. But his is 30 years old, which is the magical age running backs usually wind up regressing.

Our View:Dayne would appear to be the better option of the two to join the Titans, but neither back figures to have much value if they do given that the Titans already have at least three options ahead of whomever they sign in LenDale White, Chris Johnson and Chris Henry.

Our View:The Titans were interested in Dayne last year, but a deal could not be worked out. The Titans are already stocked at running back behind LenDale White, with Chris Henry and promising rookie Chris Johnson. Dayne wouldn't likely make an impact as anything more than a goal-line or short-yardage back in Tennessee.
March 4, 2008 The Houston Texans are interested in bringing in running back Warrick Dunn for a visit, which could lead to the club releasing Ron Dayne, according to the Houston Chronicle. The Texans have Ahman Green, Darius Walker and Chris Taylor under contract, so signing another back would leave Dayne, an unrestricted free agent, as the odd man out in the rotation.
