Travis Henry has been arrested after an alleged cocaine deal, according to the Rocky Mountain News. Henry and another man, James Mack, were arrested Tuesday as a result of a multi-kilogram cocaine transaction in Centennial, Jeffrey D. Sweetin, Special Agent in Charge of the DEA's Rocky Mountain Division, said in a statement.

Our View:The two men are being held pending the filing of federal drug charges in U.S. District Court later today in Denver. This incident should officially put an end to the troubled running back's career.

Travis Henry was suspended by the NFL for a minimum of one year, according to NFL.com. He violated the leagues' substance abuse policy.

Our View:Henry was released by the Broncos in July, and it is quite possible his NFL career has come to an end.

The Denver Broncos released running back Travis Henry in June before they found out that he was facing a one-year suspension for another failed drug test, according to the Denver Post.

Our View:Per a report from Mike Klis, an unnamed team official notes the Broncos had no knowledge of a failed test, but instead dumped Henry after he missed league-mandated treatment sessions. He went on to suggest coach Mike Shanahan didn't care for his decision to skip the team's OTAs as well, thus the decision to release Henry was based on those events rather than knowledge of a failed drug test. Klis reports that in addition to testing positive in May, Henry missed three drug tests after winning his appeal of a positive test last year. The league reserves the right to consider a missed test to be a positive test. With that in mind, it is fair to say his tenure in the NFL has likey come to an end.

Updating a previous report, former Denver Broncos running back Travis Henry tested positive for marijuana use just prior to being released by the team last month, according to MyFoxColorado.com. The Broncos declined to comment on whether Henry’s release was related to the drug test.

Our View:Henry, 29, was released by the Broncos on June 2 just one year into a five-year, $22.5 million deal. At the time, head coach Mike Shanahan cited a lack of commitment.

A highly placed NFL source says former Denver Broncos running back Travis Henry has tested positive again for marijuana, according to MyFoxColorado.com. FOX 31 Sports reporter Josina Anderson learned about the positive test late Thursday night.

Our View:This information reportedly came from the same source that broke news of failed drug tests by both Miami Dolphins running back Ricky Williams and Henry to FOX 31 in the past. Henry faces a possible one-year suspension, if this report is true.
