LaDainian Tomlinson will not play in tonight's preseason contest against the Cowboys, according to ESPN.com.

Our View:There's nothing wrong with LT, he's just resting, which is perfectly fine with fantasy owners across the nation.

LaDainian Tomlinson was campaigning in Times Square - to be the top overall pick in fantasy drafts this season, according to the USA Today. He said, "I should be the No. 1 pick because I'm proven. LT in '08. I've been doing it for a while and have experience helping owners win their leagues. I got a good track record, and I'll be ready on day one."

Our View:He gets our vote for top pick, and he should get yours too, if you are lucky enough to hold the number one slot in your drafts. Not many players have been as consistent over the past several seasons as LT.

LaDainian Tomlinson says that his injured knee shouldn't hinder him at all this season, according to CBS Sportsline. "I'm running and cutting and everything is good," he said. "I'm ready to go."

Our View:The Chargers have already announced that they will hold LT out of preseason action as they have the past few years, so the only way we will be able to verify the health of his knee will be from watching practices.

LaDainian Tomlinson suggested that he might walk away from the game in a recent interview with Colleen Dominiguez of ESPN. The topic came up after Dominguez estimated that L.T. is roughly five solid seasons away from toppling Emmitt Smith’s all-time rushing mark. “It comes a time where you gotta walk away from the game,” Tomlinson said. “I really would like to walk away from the game on top. I dont want to be a player that’s declining and have to be kicked out of the league and not getting picked up by a team.”

Our View:Tomlinson turns 29 years of age in June, and is entering the trailing edge of his prime as a NFL running back. LT will be the first choice in 99 percent of the fantasy football drafts in 2008, but his impressive run as the consensus number one fantasy football draft pick could be drawing to a close within the next couple of seasons.

LaDainian Tomlinson has changed his mind about the preseason. The superstar previously stated he'd think about playing in a preseason contest, but that idea has been erased. "I just told him we weren’t going to do it," head coach Norv Turner tells the team's official web site. "There wasn’t a lot of discussion involved. He doesn’t need to carry the ball in the preseason." Tomlinson hasn't appeared in an August contest since 2005.

Our View:LT will be the No. 1 fantasy pick no matter what he does this August.

Head coach Norv Turner feels that the first minicamp is an unofficial start of the new season, and his prized running back LaDainian Tomlinson will be participating, according to Chargers.com. “My thoughts on Mini Camp are to always gear everything to your veterans and let everyone else catch up,” Turner said. “The guys that have got to catch up are second and third-year guys like Anthony Waters and Eric Weddle and Jyles Tucker; guys who haven’t played a lot. Then there’s a chance for the rookies to make first impressions. There’s a lot going on this weekend.”

Our View:Tomlinson, who suffered a knee injury in the AFC Championship Game, will be on the field working and is widely expected to be the first player selected in 99.9 percent of all fantasy drafts this summer.

LaDainian Tomlinson, rehabbing an injured knee, is progressing well in his return to full health, this according to the Chargers Official Site. LT has been playing a lot of golf and taking it easy with his workload. "It’s doing a lot better than I would have expected at this time. I’m working out full strength so by the season, I’ll be ready.”

Our View:LT isn't at 100% yet, but the report is that his doctors feel he is right where he should be at this point and he should be available for mini-camp in May.

LaDainian Tomlinson is uncertain whether he will be at full speed for the Chargers’ may mini-camp, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune. Tomlinson said his left knee is doing "pretty good", but there is still some pain when he engages in certain activities. Tomlinson sprained his medial collateral ligament in the Chargers' playoff game at Indianapolis and aggravated the injury during his limited work in the next week's AFC Championship Game at New England. Tomlinson said he's working hard in rehabilitation and has no worries about being 100 percent for the start of the season.

LaDainian Tomlinson underwent another MRI on Tuesday, and the results showed that the star did more damage to his left knee when he played against the Patriots. Tomlinson came into that contest with an injured MCL, and he lasted only four snaps. He will not need surgery, the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
January 20, 2008
Chargers running back LaDainian Tomlinson was knocked out of Sunday’s playoff game with a sprained MCL. "It was just the impact of getting hit that first play, right on it,'' he told the San Diego Union Tribune. "I thought that would be the test, taking a hit on it. I don't know how I get direct hits on it ... it's just been two bad weeks for me. I usually don't take shots like that. It just happened.'' While losing Tomlinson was a huge blow to anyone in a playoff fantasy league, this won’t impact his value going into drafts next season.

LaDainian Tomlinson practiced for the second straight day on Friday and should be in good shape for Sunday's game at New England. He's dealing with a sore knee.
January 17, 2008
LaDainian Tomlinson didn't practice on Wednesday, but he is feeling better and will test his hyperextended left knee on Thursday. "I'll be ready to go,” he tells the San Diego Union-Tribune. "I'll feel just fine by game time, and so I expect to be close to 100 percent."
January 15, 2008
LaDainian Tomlinson has a hyperextended left knee and may be limited throughout the practice week, but he expects to face the Patriots on Sunday. "I think I'll definitely be able to play," he tells the San Diego Union-Tribune.
January 14, 2008
LaDainian Tomlinson left Sunday's game in the first half with a bruised knee and did not return. "I think if we would have got down seven to 10 points and it was getting crunch time in the fourth quarter, and you really needed to put a drive together, I think at that point I would have said, 'You know what? Let me just try it,'" Tomlinson said, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune. Norv Turner dubbed LT2 as questionable for their matchup with the Pats. He'll probably have an MRI taken Monday, and more should be known about his status in the next couple of days.
January 13, 2008
LaDainian Tomlinson left Sunday's game in the first half with a bruised left knee and did not return. Michael Turner rushed for 71 yards in relief of Tomlinson, and Darren Sproles added a 56-yard touchdown on a screen pass. It will be interesting to see how LT's rehab goes as the Chargers, off their stunning upset of the Colts, get ready for New England next week.
