Newsbreakers
December 21, 2008
Sammy Morris picked up 88 yards on the ground and 45 through the air as the Patriots dismissed the Cardinals 47-7 on Sunday.

Our View:What looks like a great day was watered down by his failure to get into the end zone. Lamont Jordan saw more action out of the backfield as he had 20 carries and two touchdowns.
December 14, 2008
Sammy Morris ran 14 times for 117 yards and a touchdown as the Patriots defeated the Raiders 49-26.

Our View:Morris delivered his second best game of the season and should remain a solid play in the final weeks of the season as the Patriots likely need two more wins to get into the playoffs.
November 24, 2008
Sammy Morris was injured on an eight-yard run in Sunday's win over Miami, according to the Boston Globe.

Our View:Morris did not carry the ball again, but noted he was fine following the game.
November 21, 2008
Sammy Morris is not listed on the Patriots' Week 12 injury report.

Our View:He played some last week, but hardly enough to warrant any fantasy consideration. It would be best to use a different option besides Morris this week as he takes on a good Miami defense and his role is still undefined.
November 15, 2008
Sammy Morris is optimistic he can move on from the knee injury that shelved him for three games, according to the Boston Globe.

Our View:If Morris proves to be healthy, he will be handed a bigger workload in the offense, which would improve his fantasy stock and lower the value of rookie BenJarvus Green-Ellis.
