Corey Ivy's right ankle sprain is considered minor and he expects to play in Week 2 against the Texans, according to the Baltimore Sun.

Our View:Ivy was on crutches following the Ravens' win over Cincinnati in Week 1, but the injury turned out to be less serious than believed.

According to the Baltimore Sun, there is some concern about cornerback Corey Ivy's ankle injury. The report notes that the defensive back damaged a ligament when he sprained his right ankle midway through the fourth quarter of Sunday's win over the Bengals.

Our View:Ivy was on crutches after the game, but the team said more tests would be needed before making a definitive diagnosis.

After being sidelined since Oct. 9 with a kidney tear, Corey Ivy returned to action on Sunday, according to the Baltimore Sun. However, he was knocked out of the game in the second quarter due to a concussion. His status for Week 11 is uncertain at this time.

Corey Ivy returned to practice Wednesday for the first time since suffering a kidney tear on Oct. 9, according to the Baltimore Sun. He still isn't expected to return to action for another 4-6 weeks. "Anytime you get a chance to be out there with your teammates, it's a good time," Ivy said. "But you also want to go out there and help contribute. I just have to take it day-by-day, slowly and hope for the best."

There is no timetable for the return of Corey Ivy, who is sidelined with a kidney tear, but the Ravens do expect him to return at some point this year, according to the Baltimore Sun. "Corey's progressing very well," coach Brian Billick said. "I think we're not far off from Corey being able to get back with us. Right now, there's no need to contemplate or discuss whether we should [place him on injured reserve] or not."
