Newsbreakers
January 7, 2009
Todd Heap missed practice while dealing with the flu, according to the Carroll County Times.

Our View:He also injured his back during last weekend's battle with Miami, but is expected to play Saturday at Tennessee.
January 2, 2009
Todd Heap is questionable for Sunday's game against the Dolphins due to his ailing back, according to TSN.

Our View:Heap is among the most talented tight ends in the NFL, but has trouble staying healthy. He still managed to play all 16 games of the regular season, and should be able to fight through his injury and play this weekend.
November 30, 2008
Todd Heap posted four receptions for 39 yards and a touchdown in the Week 13 victory over Cincinnati.

Our View:Heap, who has scored three touchdowns in the past month, is slowly working his way back into fantasy relevancy.
November 28, 2008
The Carroll County Times reports that tight end Todd Heap (illness) returned to practice, participating fully after being held out Wednesday.

Our View:Heap has been mostly irrelevant this season, but was a huge player in Week 10 when he caught both of his touchdowns.
November 9, 2008
Tight end Todd Heap caught five passes for 58 yards and two touchdowns in the Week 10 win over the Texans.

Our View:Welcome to the 2008 season, Mr. Heap. The once-studly tight end has not had a good year, and fantasy owners shouldn't chase this performance by starting him next week. That being said, Joe Flacco is looking better by the day, and maybe, just maybe, Heap can crawl up the rankings again.
